tomāra caraṇa-padma        anurāga sudhā-sadma

sāgara-śīkara jadi pāya

kona bhāgyabāna jane          kona kārya-sańgaṭane

tā’ra saba duḥkha dūre jāya

se sudhā-samudra-kaṇa         soḿsārāgni-nirbāpana

khaṇete koriyā phele tā’ra

parama nibṛtti diyā      tomāra caraṇe loya

deya tabe ānanda apāra

e bhaktibinoda kānde          poḍiyā soḿsāra-phānde

bole nāhi kona bhāgya mora

e ghaṭana nā ghaṭilo        āmāra janama gelo

bṛthā roinu ho’ye ātma-bhora

TRANSLATION

1. Oh my Dear Lord Hari! If a greatly fortunate soul, somehow or other, gets a chance to drink just one nectar-drop sprayed from the rich ocean of love emanating from Your lotus feet, then all of his miseries are automatically and instantly repelled to a far distant place.

2. This single drop from the ocean of nectar completely extinguishes the blazing fire of material existence and gives immediate relief. One who drinks such a drop thus takes hold of Your lotus feet, which bestow upon him transcendentally liberated peace and unlimited spiritual bliss.

3. Now Bhaktivinoda is weeping and says to You, Oh Lord… I am most unfortunate, falling into the snare of this material world. I have never taken a drop of the nectar of Your lotus feet, and therefore my entire life has been wasted, uselessly engrossed in the affairs of this material body.
