TRANSLATION

(Refrain) With beautiful playful Radha at His left, the dark hero Krsna enjoys pastimes in the springtime, the king of seasons.

  1. Every limb is now covered with showers of sandal-water, red powder, and fragrant kunkuma. Gazing at Krsna, who is more enchanting than Kamadeva, hundreds of teenage gopis are overcome with amorous desires. They sing graceful songs in the festival of Holi.

  2. Some bring cloth. Some bring necklaces. Their bodies are filled with bliss. Some bring finger-rings. Some bring flutes. From far away some come, singing the glories of Holi.

  3. Gathering together, they play damphas, sarods, pakhawajas, and karatalas. As they play graceful rhythms, Govinda dasa’s master, who is the crown of dancers, dances.
