jaya śrīdāma-subala-stokakṛṣṇaika-bāndhava

vṛṣāla-vṛṣabhojasvi-devaprastha-vayasya he

varūthapārjuna-sakha bhadrasenāḿśu-vallabha

tālī-vana-kṛta-krīḍa bala-pātita-dhenuka

(3)

uttāla-tāla-rājī-bhid rāsabhāsura-nāśana

gopa-vṛnda-stavānāndin puṇya-śravaṇa-kīrtana

TRANSLATION

O Krsna, O friend of Sridama, Subala, Stokakrsna, Vrsala, Vrsabha; Ojasvi, and Devaprastha, all glories to You.

O Krsna, O dear friend of Bhadrasena and Varuthapa, You performed pastimes in the Talavana forest, and Your brother Lord Balarama killed the demon Dhenuka.

O Krsna, you killed the ass-demons who were associates of Dhenukasura, and You broke the tall Tala trees. When You heard the prayers of the cowherd boys, You became jubilant. Hearing and chanting Your glories purifies the devotees.
