(Refrain) How many times? How many times? How many times have you come to the Earth, O Govinda, Whose mercy we yearn for!

How many times did the rock strike the sea with its waves?Â How many times has the sun left erasing darkness?Â How many times was the young bird taught to fly after falling?

In the form of Matsyadeva, the large fish, you saved the Vedas from drowning! In the form of the giant turtle, Kurmadeva, you lifted the Mandara Hill. In Your form of Varahadeva, you saved the Earth!

As Lord Nrsimhadeva, you salved Prahlada Maharaja. As the dwarf Vamanadeva, you cheated Bali Maharaja in favor of the demigods. In the form of Parasurama (Bhrgupati), you annihilated the demoniac ksatriyas.

In the form of Ramacandra, you proclaimed victory over Ravana. In the form of Lord Balarama, you scared Yamuna! For the sake of the poor animals, you came as Buddhadeva.

You come as Radha and Krsna to teach Your pastimes. You come as Gauranga Mahaprabhu to initiate Your sankirtana movement! And you will appear as Kalkideva to kill the evil doers.

With Your words, Govinda, our hearts are smoothened. With Your glance, Oh Govinda, all darkness leaves. Please come to us, and please invite me to Your abode.

Your name is always chanted. You are here, Govinda! Your names are chanted by your devotees. Here, you reside and illuminate everything! In your thousands of Deity forms, Your presence nourishes us.
